A family business, the Davines Group was founded in Parma, Italy, in 1983 by the Bollatis. Initially, the company was a research facility producing high-end hair care products for global cosmetic companies.
Ten years later, Davines began crafting its own brand of hair care products exclusively for salon professionals, with a focus on high-quality formulas scientifically engineered to deliver results while expressing Davines’ distinctive style and spirit.

To strengthen this ongoing commitment to sustainability, Davines has started a collaboration with the non-profit Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity.
Each of the nine Davines hair care families of products contain one specific active ingredient from a Slow Food Presidium and features the story, the face, and the name of the person who grew it with great care and dedication.
What’s more, all carbon dioxide emissions generated by packaging production are offset through contributions towards the creation and protection of forests in Madagascar.
