For sure. It’s not the year most of us where hoping for when a shiny new decade rolled in on January 1, 2020. So after many months of attempting to find our favourite Zoom look, here’s something to finally get excited about when it comes to hairstyling hacks that are easy to achieve, will finally give you a reason to take off your tie-dye hoodie, and look great to pick up your groceries or hang out at home.
Flipped-Up Ponytail
There’s nothing better to instantly elevate your long hair from blah to fab than a flipped-up ponytail with a cool retro vibe!
To achieve this awesome look, just make sure you spray a heat protection product before you blow dry your hair so that it’s nice and sleek and has that coveted high-watt shine. When hair is almost dry, gently flip ends with a round brush and put the blow drier on cool, so that it ‘sets’ the hair in place. Add a light spritzing of illuminating hairspray to create even more shine and you’re all set to wow colleagues and friends online.

Practical, but also hugely on-trend, these lovely fabric headbands will easily and stylishly keep your hair away from your face, while adding a bit of volume if you gently backcomb it before securing the headband in place. In line with all things 90s that we’re loving right now, giant claw clips and scrunchies are the lifesaver duo when your hair needs a bit of help to create that awesome messy bun look while keeping everything tucked in place on a winter windy day. They can even improve your basic ponytail. To make sure your hair is even more securely in place you can add an traceless hair ring, (such as the invisibobble) particularly if your scrunchie is made out of a silky fabric, which can sometimes slip off hair, particularly if yours is very straight and a bit limp.
