Easy Christmas and Holiday Hair Looks

Pure Salon Montreal - Easy Christmas and Holiday Hair Looks 1

In a year like no other, we’re also creating new Holiday traditions in 2020. And just to make sure you do get your pretty on for your Zoom, Skype or FaceTime parties, here are a few ideas from our top hairstylists at Pure that will make you shine bright on everyone’s screen. With or without glitter!

Braided double buns

A perfect ‘do’ if you’re planning on doing a bit of baking for your friends and family and delivering those delicious goodies out of the oven, this super easy hairstyle will ensure your hair is away from your face, while still making you look great. Here’s how to get your space buns right:

  • Pull your hair up into two pigtails: Start by parting your hair down the middle, pull the hair on each side into a pigtail high above the ear, or just above if you want a more classic look. Secure it with an elastic.
  • Braid each pigtail and secure with a pretty hair ribbon: If you have thin hair, you can tease it first or gently pull the braids apart to give them more volume.
  • Wrap one braid around the base of the pigtail in a spiral: You can wrap it towards the face or away from it, but make sure to tuck the end of the braid under the bun so that it’s not visible. Secure in place with bobby pins.
  • Repeat the process on the other side of the head: Make sure that you wrap the braid in the same direction as the first bun, either towards or away from your face. If you want to vary the look, pull out a few wisps of hair around the temples. Finish with hairspray for a bit of extra hold. Now you’re ready to rock!

Beach Waves for Christmas

Here’s another super easy hair look that will look great when you slip into your new silk pyjamas on Christmas morning for brunch with your honey. Plus, beach waves are very versatile and can enhance your balayage. They also work really well for any length of hair: from a blunt bob to super long locks.

The only tools you’ll need are a good curling iron with a wide barrel (one- to two-inches) and a sea salt spray to create texture. Just run your fingers through the curls after you’re done with the curling iron, and there you have it: Instant glam.

Happy Holidays from the team at Pure!
